Jamie Foxx Stars in Action Film Deadlocked, Headed to Prime Video

Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for 'Deadlocked', an action film starring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx. The movie follows a grieving former Marine who is forced back into action when the trial of the century turns into a deadly hostage situation.

The film, directed by Nikhil Bhat, is based on a script by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack. Producers include Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger for Range, and Dave Caplan for C2, as well as Foxx's production company, Foxxhole Productions.

Foxx has been busy with various projects recently, including the Netflix action-comedy 'Back in Action' with Cameron Diaz, which scored the platform's biggest English-language movie debut since 2022. He also currently executive produces and hosts the game show 'Beat Shazam' for Fox.
