JPMorgan Chase is bolstering its technology investment banking team with two key hires. Dan McDow, who spent four years as Citigroup's global head of software investment banking, will join JPMorgan in New York later this year to lead the east coast tech business.

The hiring of McDow comes on the heels of another major move by JPMorgan: David Fishman is set to join from Bank of America as head of North America technology mergers and acquisitions. Vineet Seth, current Head of Technology M&A, will assume a new role as vice chair of investment banking.

The tech sector has seen a surge in dealmaking activity thanks to recovering valuations within the software space and the growth of artificial intelligence.
