JPMorgan Chase Accused of Discrimination Against Gay Employee
JPMorgan Chase is facing a federal discrimination lawsuit from a former employee who alleges he was told to keep his 'gay job' separate from his regular work.
Brian Larson, a former senior associate at JPMorgan, claims that one of his supervisors criticized his involvement with the bank's LGBTQ+ employee resource group and told him that 'DEI wasn't going to save' him.
Larson alleges that after reporting the comments to another supervisor and JPMorgan's human resources department, he faced increased scrutiny at work, was removed from projects, and received declining performance reviews.
JPMorgan has denied Larson's allegations, stating that his departure was related to his performance. Larson is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for alleged lost earnings, benefits, and emotional distress.
