JPMorgan Chase Boosts Dividend on Strong Trading and Dealmaking Income
JPMorgan Chase & Co., trading on the New York Stock Exchange under JPM, is converting its unusually strong trading and dealmaking income into higher returns for shareholders. On September 15, 2026, its board declared a quarterly common dividend of $1.65 per share, up from $1.50, payable on October 31, 2026 to holders of record on October 6.
The bank's second-quarter results, released on July 14, 2026, showed markets revenue rose 35% and investment banking fees climbed 30%. Net income was $21.2 billion, or $7.70 per diluted share, with reported net revenue at $57.3 billion and net interest income rising 10% to $25.6 billion.
The Commercial & Investment Bank earned $9.7 billion, up 46%, on revenue of $24.9 billion, while Consumer & Community Banking earned $5.3 billion, up 3%. Asset & Wealth Management earned $2.0 billion, up 33%, with client assets under management of $5.1 trillion and $50 billion of long-term net inflows.
