JPMorgan Executive Defends Against Accuser's Defamation Claim

JPMorgan Executive Director Lorna Hajdini is countersuing Chirayu Rana, accusing him of defaming her and ruining her reputation. Hajdini claims that Rana's accusations are false and that he deliberately and sustainedly cast her as a racist sexual predator.

Rana had previously filed a lawsuit against Hajdini and JPMorgan Chase, accusing the bank of creating a hostile work environment and Hajdini of coercing him into sex. He also accused JPMorgan of irreparably destroying his career through its acceptance of racism.

JPMorgan denied Rana's most explosive claims, including that it 'reduced him to a racial caricature' while Hajdani blackmailed him into repeated sexual assaults. Hajdini is seeking unspecified damages for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
