JPMorgan Sees Singapore Stocks Surging to New Heights
JPMorgan Chase & Co has raised its target for Singapore stocks as economic growth holds. Analysts, including Khoi Vu, predict that the Straits Times Index (STI) could reach up to 7,000 over the next 12 months in a bull case scenario, implying a 22% upside from Tuesday's close.
The bank cites a 'goldilocks economic backdrop' as a key driver of earnings per share growth and fiscal room. Strong yields, a stable currency, and the Equity Market Development Programme are also expected to boost investor flows.
Singapore stocks have outperformed rival financial hub Hong Kong this year, gaining more than 23% in 2026. The city state recently upgraded its economic growth forecast for 2026 due to the AI boom lifting trade and manufacturing.
