JPMorgan Chase has expressed confidence in its third-quarter performance, predicting strong growth in investment banking fees and trading revenue. Co-President Doug Petno shared this optimistic outlook at the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference.

Petno highlighted robust deal activity, attributing significant merger and acquisition (M&A) activity to management and board confidence, which he described as 'as high as we've seen in some time.'

This follows a strong second quarter where JPMorgan's investment banking fees jumped 30 per cent year-on-year, and markets revenue surged 35 per cent. Petno noted that clients are showing incredible resilience amidst market volatility.
