JPMorgan Chase & Co. has made a significant addition to its technology mergers and acquisitions team, hiring David Fishman as vice chair and head of its North America tech M&A business.

Fishman, a former M&A lawyer with over 15 years of experience at Bank of America, will report directly to Chris Grose and Greg Mendelson, co-heads of technology investment banking at JPMorgan, as well as Charlie Bouckaert, global head of M&A.

In his new role, Fishman will be part of a newly formed technology M&A leadership and advisory council, which is dedicated to serving the firm's most important clients in the sector.

Notably, this move comes after Bank of America hired two managing directors for its technology practice earlier this week. Additionally, Richard Hardegree started as vice chair of technology M&A at Bank of America this month, having joined from UBS Group AG.
