Jupiter Topco Amasses Massive Stake in Amazon

Jupiter Topco LLC purchased a significant new position in shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) during the second quarter, according to its most recent Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The institutional investor bought 24,799,242 shares of Amazon's stock, valued at approximately $5,910,083,000, making up about 2.4% of Jupiter Topco LLC's holdings.

Amazon.com is also a significant holding for other institutional investors, with Bank of New York Mellon Corp and Invesco Ltd. among those increasing their stakes in the company.

Amazon reported $5.75 EPS for the quarter, beating analysts' estimates by $3.93, while its revenue was up 19.6% year-over-year at $200.61 billion.
