Kelsey Drive, Thorburn Road Construction Underway in St. John's

Construction on Kelsey Drive and Thorburn Road in St. John's is set to begin this week as part of road improvement plans by the City of St. John's.

The project aims to address safety concerns following several collisions over the years, particularly near major retailers such as Home Depot, Walmart, Canadian Tire, and Swiss Chalet.

As part of the improvements, traffic and pedestrian crossing signals will be added at various entrances, including those mentioned above. A median will also be installed near Boston Pizza and TD Bank.

Traffic lights are planned for the intersection of Thorburn Road and Goldstone Street, with further work expected in the vicinity of the Team Gushue Highway and Goldstone intersection.
