Korda Takes Break from Golf for Romantic Getaway in Greece
Nelly Korda has taken time off from her busy golf schedule to relax in Greece with her fiancé, Casey Gunderson. After a summer of intense competition, including three tense days at the Solheim Cup, Korda is enjoying a slower pace.
She shared glimpses of their trip on Instagram, posting a 20-slide carousel tagged with 'Greece.' The photos show the couple in various settings, including on a boat and on a terrace overlooking the water. A ginger cat even made an appearance, playfully moving around her stone-paved surroundings.
Korda's trip to Greece comes after a Solheim Cup where she played well despite the U.S. falling short to Europe 15-13 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. She and her partner, Allisen Corpuz, beat Charley Hull and Lottie Woad 4 and 3 on Friday, becoming the first Solheim pairing to reach 5-0 together.
Korda has had a big year so far, winning four times at the Tournament of Champions in February, the Chevron Championship in April, the Riviera Maya Open in May, and the U.S. Women's Open in June. However, her summer was not without its challenges, as she missed the cut at the Evian Championship in July.
