LG Teams Up With Nvidia for Next-Gen Humanoid Robots and Autonomous Vehicles
LG Electronics is collaborating with Nvidia to develop next-generation humanoid robots and autonomous vehicles. The partnership will see LG utilize Nvidia's Isaac GR00T, a open reasoning humanoid foundation model, to build its bipedal humanoid robot.
The robot will be powered by Nvidia's Jetson Thor for onboard compute, advanced reasoning, and control. The companies plan to unveil the humanoid robot in the first quarter of next year.
LG is also expanding its collaboration with Nvidia to accelerate physical AI, including the development of wheel-based robots and autonomous vehicles. LG will validate its CLOiD wheel-based robots at its Tennessee washing machine manufacturing line, while building a reference site for AI factories using Nvidia's DSX platform.
