Lufthansa Rejects Early-Built Boeing 777-9s
Lufthansa has announced plans to reject early-built Boeing 777-9s, joining Emirates in this decision. The airline's CEO, Carsten Spohr, confirmed talks with Boeing regarding which aircraft will not be accepted for commercial service and which can be modernized.
The first 777-9 with a full interior for Lufthansa made its inaugural flight in May. However, it appears that this plane may not meet the airline's standards due to its early build date.
Lufthansa has asked Boeing to contribute financially to modernizing certain aircraft, implying that these planes do not meet their requirements.
