MAC.BID, an online auction site that works with large retailers to alleviate reverse logistics issues, has opened its first location in Missouri. The new facility is located in St. Peters and will create around 70 new jobs in the area.

The company buys truckloads of returned and overstocked products from retailers like Walmart, Target, and Home Depot and then resells them on their auction site.

'We're excited to become part of the St. Peters and the larger St. Louis Metro community,' said Kellen Campbell, co-founder and president of MAC.BID.

The company projects that its customers saved over $1.1 billion last year by scoring items for 80% or more off their original retail price.
