Madagascar Corruption Trial Begins Over Sale of Five Boeing 777 Aircraft

A major corruption trial has begun in Madagascar, involving five Boeing 777-200 aircraft and thirty-three individuals and legal entities.

The Affaire Boeing 777 Madagascar PAC procès is being held publicly before the Pôle anti-corruption (PAC) in Antananarivo, marking a critical new phase in a case that first came to light over a year ago.

The trial has an international dimension, having extended beyond Madagascar's borders, and will shed light on the alleged corruption surrounding the acquisition or handling of the five Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
