Magic Apron Rolls Out Nationwide to All U.S. Home Depot Stores

The Home Depot has expanded its Magic Apron AI-powered shopping assistant to all U.S. stores, enabling customers to get personalized and localized in-store guidance. The feature was initially fielding millions of questions per month and now allows customers to ask product-specific questions, get recommendations on tools and supplies needed for a project, and find products quickly using the map feature.

Customers can access Magic Apron via the Home Depot mobile app's Store Mode or by scanning a QR code in-store. The feature is available in all 2,000+ U.S. stores and allows customers to interact with it in multiple languages. During pilot testing, customers praised the new features for improving their confidence in purchasing decisions and helping them understand product compatibility.

The expansion of Magic Apron builds upon the company's Store Mode feature, launched in 2022, which helps customers shop more efficiently using barcode scanning and improved wayfinding.
