Make-A-Wish Surprises Local Boy with Magical Disney Cruise Getaway

A young boy from Central Square, New York, was surprised by Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Central Square Apple Festival. Mikey, who is battling leukemia, had his wish revealed to him and his family - a Disney Cruise. The festival, held on September 26-27 at Brewerton Speedway, featured food, vendors, entertainment, crafts, and rides organized by the Hastings Lions Club.

During the wish reveal, Mikey's father spoke about his son's battle with leukemia and reassured those gathered that he was going to be okay. His mother, Proscovia Blinkin, also expressed her gratitude for the support and experience surrounding his wish.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation's Director of Mission Delivery, Moe Harrington, spoke about the significance of granting a wish to a child facing a critical illness. The organization emphasized that such experiences can have a profound impact on children and their families.
