Malaysia Airlines is nearing a deal to order its first Boeing 787 Dreamliners as it seeks to replace seven leased Airbus A350s in its fleet.

Citing sources, a prominent publication reported that Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the airline's parent company, is considering an order for 10 Boeing 787-10s, the largest variant of the Dreamliner family.

The move would give Boeing an edge over Airbus in the market, as it has reportedly offered earlier delivery slots starting from 2031.
