Malaysian Hotel Turns Boeing Jets into Luxury Suites

A new hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia has taken to the skies, literally. The 1975 Avenue & Hotel features two Boeing 747 aircraft, Bove and Bey, repurposed as suites for overnight guests. With a soft opening in August, the aviation-themed property now offers 18 themed suites across its twin planes.

The suites are inspired by various countries, including Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Czechia, England, Italy, and Switzerland. Each suite is split into two floors, accommodating up to three people, with prices ranging from 1,706 RM (approximately €360) to 2,786 RM (approximately €590) per night in September.

Guests can choose from a range of dining options at The Hanareya @ 1975 eatery, which serves authentic Japanese breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel also features a gym, steam room, rooftop swimming pool, sunken jacuzzi, man-made beach pool, and the Playscape Water Park for families.

For visitors with a fear of flying, the hotel offers 20 rooms in a separate block, located nearby Senai International Airport and within reach of popular attractions such as Johor Premium Outlets.
