Mangione is accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel in December 2024. The killing was caught on surveillance video, and police found a masked gunman shooting Thompson from behind. Written on the ammunition were the words 'delay,' 'deny,' and 'depose,' which are associated with how insurers avoid paying claims.
