Matillion Appoints AI Veterans to Drive AI Data Automation Revolution
Matillion has appointed Girish Pancha as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the AI Data Automation revolution. Alongside Pancha, Sanjay Krishnamurthi joins as Chief Development Officer to head Matillion's product and engineering teams. Their appointments come at a time when enterprise demand for AI Data Automation is accelerating.
Pancha has spent over two decades building category-defining enterprise data products and companies. He previously led the development of Oracle Discoverer, a pioneering business intelligence platform, and later served as Chief Product Officer at Informatica before founding StreamSets, which was acquired by Software AG and subsequently sold to IBM.
'I've seen many moments hyped as turning points,' Pancha said. 'This one is real.' He emphasized that AI has made data the most valuable enterprise asset but also exposed how difficult it is to make data trusted, governed, and AI-ready at scale.
Krishnamurthi joins Matillion with a strong background in building technologies behind modern enterprise data. As Chief Technology Officer at Informatica, he helped shape the modern data integration market, and later led the transformation of Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Purview into leading cloud data services at Microsoft.
