Matthew 'Matt' Scott Schmitt, a 54-year-old man from Deerfield, New Hampshire, passed away on September 25, 2026. Matt was born in Derry, New Hampshire, to Robert and Velma Schmitt on April 27, 1972.
He spent his childhood between Woburn, Massachusetts, and Raymond, New Hampshire, before graduating from Raymond High School in 1990. As an adult, Matt made Manchester, New Hampshire, his home, but eventually settled in Deerfield with his family.
Matt's career spanned various industries, including Home Depot, Teradyne Connection Systems, Insight Technology/L3 Harris, and Getinge. He was known for his determination and work ethic, both in his professional life and personal pursuits.
A passionate bodybuilder, Matt participated in numerous competitions from 1996 to 2025. He also worked as a kickboxing trainer, helping others achieve their fitness goals. Matt's love for motorsports, particularly Formula 1 racing, was another interest he pursued enthusiastically.
