Maybank Unveils Rose-Gold American Express Gold Charge Card with Enhanced Lifestyle Benefits

Maybank has revamped its American Express Gold Charge Card with a new rose gold design and enhanced lifestyle benefits. The refreshed card is aimed at cardmembers who frequently spend on everyday entertainment, dining, travel, and lifestyle activities.

The updated card offers 10% cashback on selected lifestyle purchases, including popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Spotify, Disney+, and others. Cardmembers can also earn rewards on movie tickets purchased from GSC and TGV, as well as eligible Grab transactions.

In addition to the cashback benefits, the card's Membership Rewards points program has been revamped. Local spending earns 2 points per RM1 spent, while overseas transactions earn 3 points for every RM1. Certain categories, including utilities, education, insurance, and instalment-plan transactions, earn at a lower rate of 1 point per RM1.

The card also features dining privileges offering up to 40% off at participating hotels and resorts, such as The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Marriott Hotel. New principal cardholders can receive RM200 in welcome rewards, consisting of RM100 in Grab Credits and another RM100 in Movie Credits.

The updated benefits come alongside a visual refresh, with the American Express Gold Card now sporting a rose gold finish. The card carries an annual fee of RM238, although Maybank is waiving the fee for the first three years.
