McDonald's Introduces National Energy Drink Rollout
Fast-food giant McDonald's has launched its first energy drink nationwide in the US. The Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer beverage was rolled out on August 17, after being tested at select markets and in Australia.
The drink is made with Red Bull energy drink, blue raspberry syrup, and freeze-dried dragonfruit, containing 80 milligrams of caffeine - the same amount as an 8.4-ounce can of Red Bull, or slightly less than a conventional cup of coffee.
Clients can customize their beverage by substituting in Red Bull Zero or opting out of the syrup and dragonfruit altogether, ordering an 8.4-ounce can of Red Bull at participating McDonald's restaurants.
