McDonald's > NEXT: A $8.5 Billion Bet on Reviving US Traffic
McDonald's held its investor day in Chicago on Wednesday to unveil its ambitious multi-year roadmap, dubbed 'McDonald's > NEXT.'
The company aims to revive traffic at US restaurants by introducing value-priced menu bundles, remodeling stores, tweaking recipes, implementing digital ordering tools, and reducing costs.
One of the most striking commitments is the $8.5 billion available to franchisees through 2036, with around $5 billion flowing in by 2030 primarily through rent relief and direct capital support.
The company projects that efficiency gains will deliver additional annual cash flow to the average US location.
