McDonald's Sees Increased Investment Amid Earnings Beat

McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) saw significant investment activity from institutional investors in the second quarter. S&CO Inc. acquired a new position of 8,445 shares valued at approximately $2,282,000. This was not the only change in ownership; other notable investors like Vanguard Group Inc., State Street Corp, and Geode Capital Management LLC also increased their stakes in McDonald's.

Vanguard Group Inc. grew its holdings by 1.0% to own 72,351,127 shares worth $22,112,675,000 after purchasing an additional 703,458 shares during the period. Similarly, State Street Corp raised its stake by 2.7%, now owning 35,983,997 shares valued at $10,997,789,000.

McDonald's second-quarter earnings beat expectations with EPS of $3.38 versus a consensus estimate of $3.32. The company posted revenue of $7.10 billion during the quarter, a 3.7% increase from the same period last year.
