Merck has completed its acquisition of Harpoon Therapeutics, Inc. for $680 million, marking a significant milestone in the biotechnology industry.

The transaction, valued at $680 million, saw each Harpoon common share converted into $23.00 in cash on March 11, 2024.

As a result of the takeover, Harpoon's common stock ceased trading and listing on Nasdaq, with its former ticker HARP no longer representing an active standalone listing.

The acquisition brings Merck ownership of Harpoon's TriTAC technology and lead program HPN328, also known as MK-6070, which targets delta-like ligand 3 to direct immune cells towards cancer cells.
