Merck-Daiichi Partnership Hit with Another Setback Over Lung Cancer Treatment

The partnership between Merck and Daiichi Sankyo has hit another snag. The two companies have withdrawn their FDA accelerated approval application for an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting B7-H3 in lung cancer.

This is the latest setback for the collaboration, which had been hoping to bring this treatment to market quickly.

The decision to withdraw the application was announced on September 28, 2026. The companies did not provide a reason for their decision.
