Merck Lifts Sales Forecast on Strong Demand for Newer Cancer Drugs

Pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co. has revised its sales forecast for this year after seeing strong demand for newer drugs like Winrevair, a medication used to treat certain types of cancer.

The company now expects sales between $66.3 billion and $67.3 billion in 2026, an increase from the previous range that topped out at $67 billion.

This upward revision comes despite Merck lowering its profit forecast due to charges related to its acquisition of leukemia drug developer Terns Pharmaceuticals Inc.
