Merck-Sponsored Clinical Trial Seeks Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients

Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in the U.S., and nearly 230,000 new cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2026 alone. A clinical trial for non-small cell lung cancer patients is currently underway, sponsored by Merck.

The trial aims to find more effective treatments for those with advanced stages of the disease, where the cancer has spread from the lungs to other parts of the body. Non-small cell lung cancer accounts for nearly half of all lung cancer diagnoses.
