Merck's Bracing Performance Leads Cedarville Past Ashland

Cedarville University's men's soccer team secured a crucial G-MAC road victory over Ashland, thanks in large part to Eddie Merck's brace. The Yellow Jackets struck first in the 25th minute when Merck found the net off assists from Austin Robertson and Augie Jacus.

Ashland equalized in the 58th minute, but Cedarville quickly responded with Merck's second goal at 59:13. This crucial score gave the Yellow Jackets a narrow lead that they managed to hold onto until the final whistle.

Cedarville outshot Ashland 10-9 overall and generated seven shots in the second half. Eben Dewhurst made one save to secure the win, as Cedarville improved their G-MAC record to 4-2-0 with a 4-5-1 overall mark.
