Microsoft Advertising Now Allows Bulk Appeals for Disapproved Ads

Microsoft Advertising has rolled out a new feature that allows advertisers to appeal up to 5,000 disapproved ads at once. The change aims to simplify the process of fixing or contesting rejected text and image creative assets.

The update was announced by Navah Hopkins, Microsoft Ads Liaison, who stated that the new bulk editing and appeals feature is now live in all accounts for text and image assets.

According to Hopkins, the change was made in response to feedback from advertisers, who found it tedious to make changes and appeal assets one at a time. The previous system required advertisers to edit or appeal each individual asset separately, which could be time-consuming and cumbersome.

The new feature uses an asset grid to surface disapproved assets, allowing advertisers to select multiple assets and choose either 'Edit' or 'Request exception.' If choosing 'Edit,' the advertiser can update the content in a side panel, with options to apply the changes to all associations or just one association. Updates are then reviewed on the Bulk edit page under Tools.

However, if an advertiser chooses 'Request exception,' they must appeal every disapproved asset in the ad. This means that if there are multiple assets with different approval status, only approved assets will continue to run while the appeal is underway, provided the final URL itself has cleared review.
