Microsoft Bolsters Surface Lineup with Snapdragon X2 Plus Processors

Microsoft is revamping its Surface lineup with new versions of the Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch. The devices feature a Snapdragon X2 Plus processing chip, which provides improved performance compared to their predecessors.

The updated Surface Pro 12-inch now boasts a brighter 500-nit PixelSense touch screen and comes in a new Black color option, alongside Platinum and Violet. It also features Microsoft Ink Canvas, an AI-powered sketching program that's compatible with the Slim Pen.

The Surface Laptop 13-inch also gets a CPU upgrade to Snapdragon X2 Plus, along with improved battery life of up to 22.5 hours for local video playback or 18 hours of active web usage. The devices will be available on October 13, starting at $1,149 and $1,199 respectively.

Additionally, Microsoft is launching a new Surface Mouse with integrated haptic feedback, which provides a small physical response to the user's actions. It features a customizable action button for Copilot and other shortcuts, and support for Bluetooth 6.0. The mouse starts at $79.99 and will be available in Black and Platinum on October 13.
