Microsoft Clings to New Outlook Despite User Backlash
Microsoft has released a new skin for its Outlook email client, dubbed 'Classic,' which retains many of the features that users have grown accustomed to. However, this move has been met with skepticism by some users who are still adjusting to the newly introduced capabilities of New Outlook.
The Classic skin is designed to provide users with a more familiar interface, but it will retain all the new features of New Outlook. This means that users can continue to enjoy the benefits of the updated software without having to navigate through unfamiliar territory.
However, as some users have pointed out, New Outlook lacks capabilities compared to Classic. Many COM and VSTO add-ins are not compatible with New Outlook, and automation via VBA is also not supported. Additionally, the send/receive button has been removed from the new software.
