Microsoft Defender Patches Bypassed by New Exploit

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a new exploit in Microsoft Defender that can bypass patches released earlier this year. ShieldCrash, as it's called, allows attackers to achieve SYSTEM-level file access on fully patched Windows systems.

This is not the first time that vulnerabilities in Microsoft Defender have been exploited. Earlier this year, researchers disclosed RoguePlanet and ShieldBreak, which were patched by Microsoft. However, it appears that these patches did not address the underlying issues, allowing attackers to find alternative pathways.
