Microsoft Edge Tests Support for Apple Accounts

Microsoft's Edge browser is testing Apple Account sign-in support, according to recent changes in its Canary build. This feature would allow users to log in to their Edge profiles using their existing Apple Accounts, rather than creating a Microsoft Account.

The addition of new flags related to Apple Account sign-in was spotted by user Leopeva64 on X and described as enabling Apple Account sign-in for Edge profiles and adding an Apple sign-in button to the profile menu. The feature is also mentioned in the release notes for Edge Beta version 152, which indicates a controlled rollout.

When officially live, this feature would bring Edge closer to Google's Chrome browser, which already supports sign-ins with various accounts. However, it remains unclear when or if Apple Account sign-in will become available to all users.
