Microsoft Executives Get Cybersecurity Boost
A retired US Marine Corps Major General has brought his expertise in protecting against cyber threats to Microsoft's Executive Support Team. Doug Pierson, now a senior director of IT Service Management at Microsoft Digital, oversees the company's efforts to safeguard executives from malicious cyber actors.
Pierson's experience as deputy commander of Marine Corps Forces Cyber Command and U.S. Cyber Command has informed his approach to executive cybersecurity. He emphasizes that the concept remains the same, even if the attackers and battlefields are different.
The team focuses on three key areas: people, places, and things. This includes educating support staff, executives, and clients on best practices for device security, as well as providing them with secure devices and cloud backup solutions.
