Microsoft Expands Advertising API with PMax Visibility Features
Microsoft has expanded its Advertising API to provide users with more visibility into Performance Max (PMax) campaigns. The update includes a new Search Term Landing Page Report, campaign-level device exclusions for PMax, and support for LinkedIn segment targeting.
The Search Term Landing Page Report allows users to tie search terms directly to landing pages, which can help diagnose issues where search traffic is being sent to poorly aligned destinations. This feature will be particularly useful for teams building dashboards or scripts on top of Microsoft Advertising, as it enables them to automate the process of flagging expensive search terms that are repeatedly landing on weak or mismatched destinations.
Campaign-level device exclusions for PMax give advertisers a way to encode business rules when certain device environments consistently perform poorly or are inappropriate for their offer. This feature is especially useful for agencies with client-specific constraints, as it allows them to impose hard operational rules on automated campaigns.
