Microsoft Faces Key Resistance Ahead of Potential Rally
Microsoft (MSFT) is currently trading just below a critical resistance level between $532 and $535, setting the stage for its next potential rally. To break through this barrier and move toward its previous 52-week high of $553+, the stock needs to demonstrate three key factors.
First, bulls must clear the $532 mark with strong trading volume. Recent momentum has been solid, but volume has tapered off near the top of the range. A daily close above $532 on above-average volume is essential to avoid a false breakout.
Second, the $518 level must hold as support during any pullback. Failure to defend this level could drag the stock back into a choppy trading range, potentially dropping as low as $500.
Third, Microsoft must deliver on monetization of its Azure and AI services. Upcoming earnings later this month will be crucial, as analysts are looking for continued growth in enterprise cloud revenue to justify a move toward higher price targets, including $575+.
