Microsoft Inks $9.7B Deal with Iren for AI Cloud Computing Services

Iren, a Sydney-based company that has pivoted to AI infrastructure, saw its stock surge 21% on Monday after signing a $9.7 billion agreement with Microsoft for AI cloud computing services.

The deal grants Microsoft access to Nvidia's GB300 GPUs as the tech giant advances its artificial intelligence initiatives.

Iren co-founder and CEO Daniel Roberts stated that the agreement validates the company's position as a trusted AI Cloud services provider and opens up new customer segments among global hyperscalers.
