Microsoft Lists and Power Automate Simplify Creative Request Process
A team's creative request process was streamlined using Microsoft Lists and Power Automate. The previous process involved pinging designers on Teams or forwarding emails, leading to a mental checklist of requests. This new system uses a custom Microsoft Form for intake, which triggers Power Automate to create an item in the Microsoft List and send email notifications.
The list tracks all tickets and requests, with columns for each form question and additional fields for tracking status, assigned designer, requester, and feedback. The system also includes three views: Designer Queue, My Requests, and All Open Requests. Power Automate is used to build a flow that automates the process, including getting response details, creating an item in SharePoint, sending emails, and saving the list item.
The system has improved productivity by streamlining the input and briefing process, allowing designers to always expect the same thing. It also provides transparency and visibility into the status of each request, eliminating the need for Teams pings and email threads.
