Microsoft Opens Americas' First Digital Sovereignty Studio in São Paulo
Microsoft has opened its first Digital Sovereignty and Resilience Studio in the Americas, located in São Paulo. The studio is designed to help organizations define strategies for protecting data, meeting regulatory requirements, and adopting cloud and artificial intelligence with security, control, and innovation.
The studio, which is part of Microsoft's Innovation Hub, offers practical and collaborative experiences where customers can explore scenarios, test solutions, and co-create cloud and AI architectures aligned with their operational business and regulatory priorities.
According to Fabio Hara, Senior Solutions Engineer at the Innovation Hub at Microsoft Brazil, the company believes that organizations do not need to choose between sovereignty and innovation. 'Our goal is to offer solutions that help customers maintain control over their data, meet regulatory requirements, and access the benefits of the most advanced technologies available today,' he says.
The studio's inauguration comes as governments, companies, and organizations in regulated sectors are increasingly seeking options for choice and control over their digital environments. The AI Diffusion Report released by Microsoft in May 2026 shows that global use of AI reached 17.8% of the world's working-age population in the first quarter of this year.
