Microsoft Retires Features in Microsoft 365 Suite
Microsoft 365 is undergoing several changes in September and October, including updates to Microsoft Teams, Word, Publisher, Whiteboard, and SharePoint.
The company will be retiring the ability to synchronize Google Workspace calendars with Microsoft Teams by October 1st. This means that users who have a Google calendar configured to sync with Teams will no longer see events from that calendar appear or update in Teams.
Microsoft Teams is also getting a new web address, teams.cloud.microsoft, which will replace the current teams.microsoft.com address by the end of September. The change only affects the web address and does not affect features or functionality.
Additionally, Microsoft Publisher will be retired from Microsoft 365 on October 1st, and users who have Publisher files should convert them before this date to ensure continued access.
