Microsoft Rolls Out GPT-6 Astra to Foundry Customers with Limited Access
Microsoft has begun rolling out GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI's newest frontier model, through its Foundry Limited Access Program. The model will become available to participating customers over the coming days and is priced at $10 per million input tokens under Standard Global deployment.
GPT-6 Astra is designed to take an open-ended challenge, reason through it in multiple steps, create a plan, and produce a finished result. It can break down challenges into steps, evaluate options, communicate recommendations, and identify next actions for review.
The model also has computer-use capabilities that allow it to interpret on-screen information and interact with approved interfaces. This enables tasks such as updating records, navigating development tools, testing software, and assembling results into reports.
OpenAI reported state-of-the-art results on selected computer-use evaluations for GPT-6 Astra, including a 96.0% score on the GPQA Diamond graduate-level science benchmark. The model also achieved higher computer-use performance in about 47% less time per task than GPT-5.6 Sol.
