Microsoft's market value surged by $450 billion on July 30, making it the largest one-day gain in history. This surpassed Nvidia's previous record of $441 billion set in April 2025. Despite this significant jump, Microsoft's stock still trades at about 12% below its 52-week high of $553.72.

The company's growth story is attracting attention, with revenue climbing 18% year-over-year to $331.8 billion and earnings per share increasing by 32%. Net income rose 31%, and Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $59.3 billion in the fiscal fourth quarter alone, up 27% from last year.

Analysts are looking at Azure's annual revenue, which topped $100 billion for the first time, as a key indicator of future growth. A 45% constant-currency guide for Azure has set off investor optimism.
