Microsoft Teams Up with Azure for Global Datacenter Operations

Microsoft's Physical Security Engineering Team faced a significant challenge in managing their global datacenter operations. With critical security systems distributed across hundreds of locations worldwide, maintaining consistency and reliability became increasingly difficult as Azure datacenters expanded.

The team needed a unified operational foundation to support the evolving needs of their physical security environment. They combined Azure Arc, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Monitor, and other Azure management services to achieve this goal.

Azure Arc enabled the team to manage infrastructure across hybrid environments, standardize operations, automate routine tasks, improve visibility into system health, and provide operators with consistent application experiences regardless of location.
