Microsoft Tests Cloud Gaming Time Limits with Personalised Offers
Microsoft is testing multiple approaches to its upcoming cloud gaming time limits for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Some users in certain regions, such as those in countries where regional laws prevent Microsoft from applying the new limits, will not face restrictions.
The company has also been running targeted Game Pass Ultimate pricing tests, offering personalised discounts to select users. A Reddit user reported receiving an offer for a 12-month lock-in at $16.09 per month, down from the standard rate of $22.99.
These exemptions and personalised offers are being tested ahead of the November changes, which will introduce cloud gaming time limits for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers in certain regions. It remains to be seen how widely these approaches will roll out.
