Microsoft Unveils New Hyderabad Data Centre as Part of $20.5 Billion India AI Push

Microsoft has launched its new data centre in Hyderabad as part of its $20.5 billion India investment plan for AI infrastructure.

The facility, called India South Central, is Microsoft's fourth cloud region in India and serves as a strategic hub for Asia and the Global South.

Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, said, 'India South Central is our fourth cloud region in the country, built for advanced AI workloads and a strategic hub for Asia and the Global South.'

The Hyderabad centre has three separate zones with independent power, cooling, and networking systems to ensure that services remain operational even if one zone faces an issue.
