Microsoft Unveils New Surface Devices Powered by Nvidia's RTX Spark
Microsoft is set to host an online event for developers and builders on October 7th. The event will focus on how on-device artificial intelligence (AI) will shape the next phase of PC development.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has been invited to join Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to unveil the next generation of Surface devices powered by the RTX Spark platform. This marks a significant partnership between the two companies and represents a major shift in their focus on AI capabilities.
RTX Spark is a 'superchip' platform designed specifically for Windows thin-and-light laptops and compact desktops. It packages Nvidia's Grace Arm-architecture CPU and Blackwell-architecture RTX GPU on the same die, enabling high-speed data transfer between CPU and GPU.
