Microsoft Unveils Next-Generation Agentic ERP Capabilities

Microsoft is advancing its Dynamics 365 ERP portfolio to build the future of agentic ERP. The company's vision for agentic ERP aims to help organizations work across traditional application boundaries, enabling leaders to redesign how work gets done.

The latest innovations in Dynamics 365 include re-engineered financial journals that support higher transaction volumes and manage cross-legal-entity complexity. The Account Reconciliation Agent is evolving to resolve exceptions in bulk, enabled by legal entity and module, addition of limits and notifications, and expanded agent suggestion summaries.

Finance teams will also benefit from AI recognition to capture invoices and AI suggestions to complete finance entries, resulting in more touchless automation. Additionally, the Business Performance Planning demo data and starter kit is generally available, bringing revenue, workforce, operating expense (OPEX), capital expenditure (CAPEX), and allocation scenarios together.
